RESTING ELECTROCARDIOGRAM (ECG)
Taken at rest, the ECG provides valuable information about the state of the heart muscle and its blood supply, particularly where there has been previous damage to the heart. It can also detect various abnormalities of rhythm some of which may be dangerous.
EXERCISE ELECTROCARDIOGRAM (ECG)
Carried out on a treadmill the exercise stress test is a non-invasive initial screening tool for heart disease.
With increasing physical activity the heart muscle must work harder and harder. When the coronary arteries supplying the heart muscle (with blood) have a significant blockage, there will come a point where blood flow to the working heart is inadequate. The ECG tracings then show certain abnormal patterns which are strongly suggestive of an impaired blood supply to the heart muscle.
The test is also a valuable tool for monitoring heart rhythm, heart rate and blood pressure at different levels of stress (workload). As well as measuring your exercise tolerance (fitness level).

HEARING TEST/AUDIOGRAM
This test allows us to check your hearing across a variety of frequencies.
LUNG FUNCTION TEST/ SPIROMETRY
The lung function test is used to investigate the possibility that you have asthma or other respiratory dysfunction/disorder.
